The United States will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Congressman Ken Calvert (CA-41) invites high school artists to participate in the 44th Annual Congressional Art Competition.
Pieces should reflect on the nation’s history and share what “America 250” means to them, whether through depictions of historic moments, uniquely American symbols, or shared values and ideals. All submissions should represent the artist’s interpretation of this theme.
Participants should submit a photograph of their artwork and email the image, along with a completed and typed 2026 Student Release form, to CA41.ArtContest@mail.house.gov by midnight on Sunday, April 19, 2026.
Please note that artwork, including the frame, must not exceed 26 inches high
