The Eastern Municipal Water District board approved a Mitigated Negative Declaration and awarded contracts for the Goetz Road Trunk Sewer project during its March 4 meeting.The board voted 5-0 to award a $7,119,913 construction contract to San Bernardino-based Weka, Inc., and authorized professional services contracts with Hunsaker & Associates Irvine, Inc., Inland Foundation Engineering, Inc., and Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. The board also approved $8,749,434 in additional appropriations for the project.The project is part of EMWD’s effort to convert aging septic systems in Quail Valley, an area of the City of Menifee northeast of Canyon Lake.
