The Eastern Municipal Water District board approved the purchase of land for the future Ridgecrest Road Tank in Winchester.The board’s 5-0 vote on March 18 approved the acquisition of approximately 20 acres for $304,000. The agreement also includes permanent and temporary construction easements. A previous planned site was subsequently deemed unfeasible, and the county supervisors also designated those two parcels to be surplus and returned that land to the Winchester Ridge Community Association.The Ridgecrest Road Tank will be southeast of the intersection of Domenigoni Parkway and Leon Road.
