Celebrate America’s 250th Birthday at Menifee’s biggest and brightest Event of the year

The City of Menifee invites the community to come together in celebration of America’s 250th Birthday at Menifee’s signature Independence Celebration on Saturday, June 27 from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Wheatfield Park (30627 Menifee Rd.). Presented in partnership with Lake Menifee Women’s Club, this year’s celebration will honor 250 years of American history, pride, and community spirit with an expanded lineup of entertainment and family fun.

The celebration begins at 5 p.m. with a vibrant community parade down La Piedra Road showcasing local organizations, community groups, and patriotic pride. Following the parade, attendees can enjoy a wide variety of delicious food options and unique craft booths, an expanded Kids Zone featuring inflatable attractions and interactive activities, while adults can relax and enjoy the lively beer garden. This year’s event will also feature stilt walkers, balloon and bubble artists, giveaways, and surprises throughout the evening.

Headlining this year’s celebration is Phat Cat Swinger, an energetic 11-piece big band known for their electrifying performances that keep everyone dancing all night long. An extended fireworks show will begin at 9 p.m. to conclude the evening.

This free community event is made possible through partnerships with the Lake Menifee Women’s Club and Valley-Wide Recreation and Park District, along with our sponsors, Texas Roadhouse, AMR, and The 9th Shield.

“Menifee’s Independence Celebration is one of our community’s most anticipated events and this year is especially meaningful as we celebrate America’s 250th Birthday,” said Mayor Ricky Estrada. “We invite everyone to join us for an unforgettable night honoring our nation with live entertainment, family fun, and fireworks!”

Parking will be available at Mt. San Jacinto College and a free shuttle will be provided throughout the event with a brief intermission during the parade. For public safety, La Piedra Road will be closed from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. between Antelope and Menifee Roads, including all connecting streets. RV parking will also be prohibited in the surrounding area.

In honor of the Semiquincentennial, Menifee TV will be airing a special live program at the Independence Celebration titled, “Countdown 250,” which will showcase over 250 minutes of live coverage including the parade, performances, and festivities throughout the day, as well as the fireworks show. Countdown 250 will be broadcast live on Menifee TV, which can be viewed on Spectrum Channel 1301, Frontier Channel 25, Mediacom Channel 595, and online at www.cityofmenifee.us/menifeetv. The program will also be livestreamed on the City of Menifee’s YouTubeFacebook, and Instagram pages.
