Suspect Identified in Fatal North Shore Shooting; 1 Dead, 1 Hospitalized

A suspect has been identified in a weekend shooting in the unincorporated community of North Shore that left one man dead and another hospitalized, authorities said.

Deputies from the Thermal Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 98000 block of Surfside Avenue at 12:08 a.m. on Sunday, June 28.

Upon arrival, deputies located two men suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. One man was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim was transported to a local hospital. Following the strict reporting protocols for injury disclosures, the victim was transported with injuries of unknown severity, though an official public statement released by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department noted the man was in stable condition.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department has identified the suspect as Adolfo Suarez Lopez. Authorities consider him armed and dangerous.
