MENIFEE, CA — Menifee Union School District is proud to announce that Scarlett Benson, a third-grade student at Herk Bouris Elementary School, has been named the regional K–5 Poetry category winner in the Southern California School Nutrition Association’s (SCSNA) 2026 “Nourish to Flourish” Student Contest.The annual creative competition invites K–12 students across Southern California to celebrate school nutrition professionals through art, poetry, and storytelling. This year’s theme, “Recognizing Your Berry Sweet Cafeteria Heroes,” drew an impressive 258 entries from across the region.
