Not only did the Riverside County Fire Department’s Wildomar station receive the Hard Charger Award given to the fire department that raised the most money for the Firefighter Demolition Derby which is part of the San Diego County Fair, but Station 61 broke the fundraising record.Approximately 20 Wildomar firefighters helped raise $30,675 for the Burn Institute, which uses the Firefighter Demolition Derby funding for its Camp Beyond the Scars program where burn-injured children participate in activities with other burn survivors.
