The three-generation Barnett family raced lawnmowers during the 2026 San Diego County Fair.Greg Barnett, who lived in Hemet for 20 years before moving to Mesa, Arizona, in 2020, competed with both his Modified and his Super Modified mowers and won two of the races which occurred three times a day between July 1 and July 5. Hemet resident Brad Barnett, who is Gary Barnett’s son and Tyler Barnett’s father, raced in all 15 sessions and won twice. Tyler Barnett, who was a lifelong Hemet resident before moving to French Valley, also competed three times each day and had a couple of wins.“It was a great track, good time,” Tyler Barnett said.
