The Eastern Municipal Water District awarded a design contract for a new aeration blower at the San Jacinto Valley Regional Water Facility.The EMWD board’s 5-0 vote August 5 authorized the award of a $427,241 preliminary and final design contract with Carollo Engineers, Inc. The board action also authorized EMWD general manager Joe Mouawad or his designee to issue other contracts for consultants or supplies related to the design of the aeration blower and approved total appropriations of $539,000 which will also cover $72,700 for EMWD engineering branch labor, $25,000 for field exploration, $2,000 for permitting, $5,059 for the final preparation of plans and specifications, and $7,000 for bid and award phase labor, advertisement, and material expenses.The San Jacinto Regional Wat
