Anza’s history will come alive Saturday, Sept. 12, during the Hamilton Museum and Ranch Foundation’s annual Founders Day celebration.The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hamilton Museum in Anza. The day will begin with the national anthem and a Cahuilla Indian blessing.Visitors can step back in time with a Juan Bautista de Anza reenactment, explore what life was like in 1925 inside the Contreras House and watch sewing and quilting demonstrations. A free make-and-take activity will also be offered.The Hamilton High School band will perform, while mule-drawn wagon rides will offer another glimpse into the area’s past.
