This is primarily due to the very strong El Nino still building in off our Pacific coast, as well as tropical moisture swept up by recent Pacific storms and atmospheric patterns trapping moisture over SoCal. It makes for some very uncomfortable weather for us humans, but maybe not for roses? I’m not sure. All the more reason to stay diligent and check your garden regularly.In any case, temperatures have been trending higher in the last seven years. Stay alert to the water status of your roses as the month progresses and continue to do so until cooler weather sets in (which we hope actually happens
