
Twenty-five years have passed since the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, but the memories of that morning remain vivid for millions of Americans, including those of us who were in the Village, Valley and Anza newsrooms.For us, decisions we had never faced before had to be made. Will we choose to print the whole truth of that day? Will we print photos of people jumping to their deaths? Personally, I was horrified, but was ushered into a whole new level of horror and grief when I learned someone I knew was killed.Nearly everyone old enough to remember can recall where they were when they learned that an airplane had struck the North Tower of the World Trade Center.
