The Murrieta City Council approved a contract to rehabilitate approximately 3.8 miles of pavement on Jefferson Avenue and Clinton Keith Road.A 4-0 vote on September 1, with Lisa DeForest recusing herself due to owning property within 1,000 feet of the project, awarded R.J. Noble Company a $5,067,921.44 construction contract. The vote also authorized a 15 percent contingency amount of $760,188.22 and authorized the city engineer to approve change orders cumulatively up to that amount.Approximately 1.9 miles of Jefferson Avenue from Nutmeg Street to Los Alamos Road and approximately 1.9 miles of Clinton Keith Road from the western city limit to Mitchell Avenue will be repaved.
