The Eastern Municipal Water District has awarded a preliminary design contract for the rehabilitation of the Soboba Two Tank in San Jacinto.The EMWD board voted 5-0 October 7 to award a $115,456 design contract to Michael Baker International for the preliminary design of the project. The board action approved total appropriations of $185,000 which will also cover EMWD staff labor costs and a $20,000 contingency.The Soboba Two Tank and the Soboba Booster Station off of Soboba Road provide water storage and pressure to distribute water to the Soboba Hot Springs community. EMWD staff inspects water storage tanks on a regular basis, and inspection reports identified the need to address corrosion and leaks found at the Soboba Two Tank.The rehabilitation consists of installing roof p
