Murrieta Police Dept. Press ReleaseOn September 2, 2026, the Murrieta Police Department received a report that a 23-year-old man had sexually assaulted a juvenile female in July 2026. Detectives investigated the allegations and obtained an arrest warrant for the suspect, Reece Thomas Kennedy.
In the early morning hours of November 4, 2026, officers found Kennedy in his vehicle, which was parked along a roadway in an unincorporated area of Riverside County near Murrieta. When officers took Kennedy into custody, they found him with a second juvenile female who had not previously been identified in the investigation.
