FBI charges anti-Trump activist in Capitol riot

According to the FBI, John Sullivan of Utah was charged Thursday, Jan. 14, in federal court in the District of Columbia in connection with the riots at the U.S. Capitol Wednesday, Jan. 6. John Earle Sullivan claimed he was there as a journalist; however, the FBI used his own footage to show Sullivan accompanying and cheering on the rioting crowd by saying “Let’s go,” “This s**t is ours!” and “Let’s burn this s**t down.” As Valley News reported earlier, Sullivan is the founder of Insurgence USA and was featured on CNN with Anderson Cooper. Sullivan was part of the crowd inside the Capitol and filmed Ashli Bobbit, who appeared to be an avid Trump supporter, after she was shot and killed.
