Temecula man arrested for DUI after hitting teenager on bicycle with vehicle


TEMECULA — A 13-year-old was injured and taken to a local after they were struck by a car driven by a man Riverside County Sheriff’s Department investigators said was under the influence of alcohol in Temecula on Thursday, Oct. 29.

According to Deanna Pecoraro, Correctional Sergeant with Riverside County Sheriff’s Department and Media Information Bureau, Temecula substation deputies were called to Wolf Store Road and Butterfield Stage just after 6 p.m. about a vehicle accident which involved a pedestrian on a bicycle.

“Upon arrival, deputies located a male juvenile who was the pedestrian on the bicycle and had visual non-life-threatening injuries,” Sgt. Pecoraro said. “The juvenile was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. During the investigation, it was suspected the driver of the vehicle was under the influence of alcohol.”

Andrew Pamenter, a 43-year-old resident of Temecula, was arrested for suspicion of driving while under the influence and booked into a Riverside County Jail.
