The Hemet Heritage Foundation and the Hemet Museum present historian Rebecca Marshall Farnbach, who will be talking on the luminary life of the self-educated Edward Hyatt of San Jacinto on Oct. 13, a beloved educator in the region and an acclaimed California State Superintendent of Schools. Farnbach will tell about Hyatt’s unusual life, his innovative teaching methods, and the few touch points that remain to tell his story.The free event will take place on Monday, Oct. 13, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Services, located at 111 S. State St. in Hemet, on the southwest corner of State & Stetson streets. Doors open at 6 p.m. Complimentary refreshments will be served.Next month’s presentation will be Nov. 10 on Angelo Domenigoni, who arrived in the area in 1879.Reb
