SAN JACINTO, Calif. — Firefighters quickly contained a blaze at a single-family home in San Jacinto on Sunday afternoon, reporting no injuries but leaving the home’s residents displaced.
Crews from the CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department responded to reports of a residential structure fire in the 1000 block of South Santa Fe Avenue at 1:44 p.m. Upon arrival, emergency personnel encountered heavy smoke coming from the single-story residence.
According to fire officials, the blaze was successfully contained at 2:20 p.m. Firefighters remained at the scene for approximately one hour following containment to conduct salvage and overhaul operations, ensuring all hot spots were fully extinguished and preventing further property damage.
No injuries to residents or fire personnel were reported. However, the American Red Cross was requested to respond to the scene to provide emergency assistance and temporary lodging to the residents displaced by the fire.
The exact number of displaced individuals was not immediately released, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
