Teacher Arrested for Public Intoxication at Menifee Elementary School

A teacher at Chester Morrison Elementary School was arrested for public intoxication Monday morning after a school administrator reported she appeared to be intoxicated on campus.

The Menifee Police Department received the report at approximately 9:40 a.m. on May 26, 2026. Officers responded immediately to the elementary school and conducted an investigation. Based on their findings, authorities arrested Stacey Baker for public intoxication. She was subsequently booked at the Cois M. Byrd Detention Center.

According to the Menifee Police Department, there is no information indicating that any student was physically harmed or directly endangered during the incident. Officials also confirmed that there is no ongoing threat to the school campus or the surrounding community.

The Menifee Police Department stated it will continue to work closely with school officials to ensure a safe learning environment for all students and staff. Authorities have directed any further inquiries regarding the incident to the Menifee Union School District.
