Local Author Harrison Rose Tate focuses on preserving stories through writing

Valley News InternFor author Harrison Rose Tate, a conversation during a Spanish immersion trip to Mexico led to an unexpected career as a novelist.Before publishing books, Tate spent 20 years working as a technical copywriter. While attending a Spanish immersion program in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, she met a local tour guide who shared details about his life and experiences.After returning home, Tate said she continued thinking about the man and the story he had told her. "If I don't write this incredible story, it will be lost," Tate said.The experience inspired her first novel, The Tour Guide.
