Wildomar renews animal control agreement

The agreement between the City of Wildomar and Animal Friends of the Valley for animal control services within the city has been renewed.A 5-0 Wildomar City Council vote on June 10 approved a new agreement. The agreement is for three years and an optional one-year renewal term will allow city staff to extend the agreement for that period without subsequent city council approval.Animal Friends of the Valleys is a non-profit organization that leases land in Wildomar from the Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District. Construction on the 32,000 square foot shelter in the 33700 block of Mission Trail began in 2008 and the shelter opened to the public in October 2010.
