The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California approved a new license agreement with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife for MWD lakes in southern Riverside County.The July 14 MWD board meeting included a unanimous vote to authorize a new license agreement with CDFW to allow for the storage of boats, law enforcement vehicles, and related equipment for continued enforcement of state conservation, environmental laws, and fishery protection at Diamond Valley Lake, Lake Skinner, and surrounding lakes. The initial term of the agreement will be for five years, and four five-year options will create an agreement term of up to 25 years. CDFW will not be charged for utilizing the MWD property.Diamond Valley Lake was completed in 2000 and has a storage capacity of 810,000
