A 5-0 Temecula City Council vote July 28 approved an architectural services contract for work on the civic center and Old Town parking garage.The action approved a $111,100 contract with Nichols-Melburg & Rosetto, AIA & Associates, Inc. The contract term is for three years, although the city council also authorized the city manager to approve two one-year extensions if necessary and to adjust the billing rates annually based on consumer price index changes. The city manager was also authorized to approve additional related services of up to 10 percent of the agreement amount, or $11,100.The Civic Center and Old Town Parking Garage project includes security enhancements within the lobby and reception areas of the civic center, exterior painting, repairs to pre-cast concrete
