Since DeChon Burns became the Linfield Christian head football coach in 2013, the Lions shared the 2014 Ambassador League championship and won the 2024 Mesquite League championship outright. Burns noted that winning a league championship is the result of winning individual games, so his primary focus is on those game wins rather than the league championship.“I don’t make it a practice to talk about league championships,” Burns said. “You can’t win two if you don’t win one.”Linfield’s four league games this year will be against Desert Christian Academy, Santa Rosa Academy, Ontario Christian, and Maranatha.
