Edward Finger won the Hobby Stocks heat race August 15 at Barona Speedway, and the Murrieta driver was leading that night’s main event before being passed late in the race and finishing second.Finger began the eight-lap heat race on the inside of the third row. After one lap Yuma’s Scott Tenney was in the lead and Cody Daffern of Brawley was second.“Was running third, battling with Cody and Scott,” Finger said.Daffern’s brother, Tommy, had started alongside Finger. “Coming out of (turn) 2 got pretty loose,” Finger said. “Got into Tommy pretty hard.
