San Diego will once again have two college football bowl games.An August 27 press conference at Snapdragon Stadium, which is now a non-contiguous part of San Diego State University and is on the site of the former stadium where the Holiday Bowl was played from 1978 to 2019 and the Poinsettia Bowl was played from 2005 to 2016, announced the date of this year’s Holiday Bowl and the date and format of the revived Poinsettia Bowl. Both games will be played at Snapdragon Stadium.San Diego State joined the PAC-12 this year, and the Poinsettia Bowl which will be played December 23 with a 4:30 p.m. kickoff time will feature a current PAC-12 team versus a historic PAC-12 school.
