Supervisors extend DEH office lease in Hemet

The County of Riverside’s new Department of Environmental Health office in Hemet will be in the 800 block of South Sanderson Avenue for at least two more years.The Riverside County Board of Supervisors voted 5-0 on August 25 to extend the lease with Sanderson Building, LLC. The new lease is retroactive to August 24 and will expire on August 23, 2028.The facilities total 13,482 square feet of office space. DEH has occupied the premises since 2000, but the facility no longer meets DEH needs. On April 14 the county supervisors voted 5-0 to authorize the Real Estate division of the county's Facilities Management department to identify suitable space for lease in the greater mid-county area which includes the Interstate 215 corridor and surrounding areas.
