Cardinals upset Chargers 26-14 in LaFleur’s coaching debut

Ric Stallworth Special to the Valley NewsLOS ANGELES — The Arizona Cardinals beat the Los Angeles Chargers 26-14 on Sunday at SoFi Stadium, giving Mike LaFleur a victory in his first game as Arizona’s head coach.LaFleur became the first Cardinals head coach to win his debut with the franchise since Don Coryell in 1973. Coryell later coached the San Diego Chargers; Los Angeles’ current head coach is Jim Harbaugh. Arizona’s defense held the Chargers to 14 points in their first regular-season game with Mike McDaniel calling the offense.
