Softball icon, Sierra Romero, named as all-time collegiate great by ESPN
Vista Murrieta High School graduate, Sierra Romero, was recently voted as a starter on ESPN’s all-time greatest college softball team. Romero was selected the top second baseman after her outstanding career at University of Michigan from 2013-2016 where she batted .441 during her career. Her 302 runs scored is an NCAA Division 1 record. Romero ranks fourth in career RBIs (304) and 10th in career homers (82) and is the only player in Division 1 history with at least 300 career hits, 300 career runs and 300 career runs batted in.Fans had the chance to choose from eight players at each position, including a spot for a right-handed pitcher, a left-handed pitcher and one utility player.
