RIVERSIDE (CNS) - As another winter storm moved into the Inland
Empire, the Riverside County Department of Transportation today maintained
closures on three roads that were flooded in the most recent storm.
According to county officials, a segment of Bridge Street at Gilman
Springs Road, just north of San Jacinto, will remain under a closure order, but
the duration was not specified.
The closure went into effect Christmas morning after a deluge left
standing water on the roadway.
It was unclear whether repairs would be necessary.
Also closed was Leon Road, between Domenigoni Parkway and Olive
Avenue, in Winchester, which was flooded on Friday night, officials said.
There was no word on the likely duration of the closure or the extent
of repairs that may be needed.
