MENIFEE – Menifee was awarded $221,325 from the California Department of Transportation to develop a Complete Streets Plan, which will enable the city to identify opportunities to accommodate all modes of travel within Menifee. The funding came from Caltrans’ Sustainable Transportation Planning Grant, which supports transportation projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve the state highway system, enhance access to safe walkways and bike paths and increase natural disaster preparedness.The city’s Complete Streets Plan will identify potential projects that will improve safety, mobility, air quality, sustainability and support the local economy through multi-modal transportation.
