
My Selfie Movement, a nonprofit that seeks to empower youth to live a purposeful life, is gearing up for a talent show to give young people who live or attend school in the San Jacinto Valley a chance to shine. To help middle school students further a talent or trade in the local area, grants will be awarded to the top winners of the carnival-themed “Hidden Talents of the Valley” Friday, June 4.The grants will go toward their area of interest or extracurricular activity. As best as possible, students will be partnered with a business in the San Jacinto Valley that can help them further develop their talent, whatever that may be, through lessons, mentoring or internships.“This talent show was created to help students/families with financial hardship tap into local outlets that
