NUEVO (CNS) - A 57-year-old man was shot to death just south of Nuevo,
but it was unclear today whether any suspects had been identified.Darryl Williams of Romoland was gunned down about 2 p.m. Monday in the
24300 block of Gunther Road, near Mountain Avenue, according to the
Riverside County Sheriff's Department.Sgt. Ben Ramirez said patrol deputies were called to the location to
investigate reports of a shooting and found Williams fatally wounded. The
victim was pronounced dead at the scene.A possible motive for the attack was not disclosed.Central Homicide Unit detectives were summoned and took over the
investigation, according to Ramirez.He did not say whether the assailant had been identified, or whether
investigators were actively searching for someone.A
