Menifee Police Department partners with CHP to combat DUI through new initiative

MENIFEE – In an effort to combat impaired driving, the Menifee Police Department has joined forces with the California Highway Patrol’s Cannabis Tax Grant Unit. This collaboration aims to deploy an innovative strategy to deter driving under the influence (DUI) in the community. Through grant funding, the Menifee Police Department will acquire a specialized vehicle to be used at all DUI checkpoints, enforcement operations, and educational presentations citywide. This vehicle will serve as a powerful tool in raising awareness about the dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
