Supervisors approve Newland Homes development

The Riverside County Board of Supervisors approved a 48-home development proposed by Newland Homes LLC.The supervisors’ 5-0 vote, June 4, approved a rezone, a tentative tract map, a plot plan and an environmental Mitigated Negative Declaration for the 12.5-acre site. The rezone changes the classification from rural residential to planned residential.The property is north of Los Alamos Road, south of De Caron Street, east of Suzi Reid Way and west of Briggs Road. The tract map includes 53 lots with four open space lots totaling 3.6 acres and a water quality basin complementing the 48 homes.
