ConnectAnza installs fiber optics at Red Mountain fire tower
ConnectAnza technicians installed fiber-optic high speed internet service at the Red Mountain Fire Lookout in Sage Wednesday, July 17.The Anza Electric Cooperative is donating the internet service to assist in wildfire prevention.Red Mountain Lookout leader Paul McDonnell was on-site for the installation, which was conducted by ConnectAnza fiber optic installation technicians Donald Kay and Jaime Cardenas-Rosas.“Because there is no cellphone signal in that area, the internet allows much better communications for the lookout tower,” AEC telecommunications manager Debbie Winger said.The Red Mountain Lookout is located at an elevation of 4,573 feet and is perched atop Red Mountain in the southern part
