Olivet University fine arts professor wins ‘Best of Show’ at Art Alliance Exhibition

ANZA – Zimou Tan, associate dean of the Olivet School of Arts and Design at Olivet University, participated in the art competition and exhibition organized by the Idyllwild Art Alliance and won the “Best of Show” award for his oil on canvas painting, “Xia.” The Art Alliance of Idyllwild is hosting its annual art exhibition “Celebrate” at the Courtyard Gallery, 26120 Ridgeview Drive, in Idyllwild from Aug. 10 to Sept. 30. Judi Bowes, the judge of the art competition, presented the show winners at the artist reception Aug. 10, at the Courtyard Gallery in Idyllwild. Bowes said she was extremely impressed by Tan’s painting. “I thank Idyllwild Art Alliance for hosting such a fantastic art event. I am greatly humbled to know that my painting won the ‘Best of Show’ award.
