The Great Oak High School cross-country program is back at it as the new school year gets underway. Despite losing a great deal of well-known seniors in the graduating class of 2018, this year’s crop of underclassmen, as well as the returning juniors and seniors, don’t seem to be missing a beat.Last weekend, at Arroyo Grande High School, the entire program got off to a great start. Six Great Oak girls placed in the top 10 for the frosh 4,000-meter race and 12th overall in the top 35. Three Great Oak boys placed in the top five for their frosh 4,000-meter race and seventh in the Top 10. Nine of the top 10 boys in the junior and senior 4,000-meter race were from Great Oak, and in the junior and senior girls’ 4,000-meter race, seven of the top 10 were Wolfpack runners.[gallery t
