Murrieta holds 9/11 remembrance ceremony

The city of Murrieta held its “Sunset 9/11 Service” the evening of Sept. 11 in remembrance of the nearly 3,000 people killed in the terrorist attacks 18 years ago.The observance began about 7 p.m. at the city’s 9/11 memorial on the Juniper Street side of Town Square Park.Mayor Kelly Seyarto and Murrieta Fire and Rescue Chief David Lantzer led the ceremony.
