RIVERSIDE -- The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County rose 3.2 cents today to $3.733, marking the eighth increase in 10 days.
The average price has risen by 15.1 cents over the past 10 days, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. The price spike began with six consecutive increases, including rising 5.2 cents last Wednesday, the largest increase since July 15, 2015.
The average price was unchanged on Sunday and dropped one-tenth of a cent on Tuesday. It is 8.1 cents more than one week ago, 23.6 cents higher than one month ago and 13.5 cents greater than one year ago. It has risen 47.4 cents since the start of the year.
