Manufacturers Day will be celebrated Saturday, Oct. 4, in Menifee with a visit and tour of the Forterra Drainage Pipe and Product manufacturing plant at 26380 Palomar Road.Forterra manufactures everything from precast concrete manholes to large storm sewer pipes. The company will open its facility to city officials, Mt. San Jacinto College students, members of California Manufacturing Technology Consulting, California Network, members of the Menifee Valley Chamber of Commerce, the media and other guests during Manufacturer’s Day.The heavy equipment used by the industry to lift the precast pipes and other structures will be on display.The celebration begins at 9 a.m. and will conclude with tours at 11 a.m. by Forterra officials and employees.
