Menifee adopted a zoning, subdivision and grading zoning plan in 2013 that was designed to be consistent with the city’s first general plan. Now, 16 years later, with the city’s growth exceeds most expectations and is becoming the seventh fastest growing city in the state, the council and planning commission is writing an updated comprehensive “Menifee-Specific” zoning, subdivision and grading ordinances that fit in with the 2013 General Plan. Since becoming incorporated in 2008 and adopting the first general plan in 2013, Menifee had to keep the zoning and development ordinances prepared by Riverside County before incorporation.
