Wildomar changes business registration fee structure
Wildomar city council voted Wednesday, Oct. 9, to approve a business registration program ordinance amendment to increase fees and would change exemptions on home-based businesses and agreed to pay for shade structures at two local parks.“One of the big changes that we are proposing is business registration fees for home based businesses,” James Riley, the city finance director, said. “Currently we don’t charge a fee for that.“Our current fee for new registrations is $49 for new businesses and then there’s a $35 renewal fee,” he said. The amendment’s approval means that home-based businesses will now pay $75 for registration and $50 to renew.“This falls right in line with the neighboring cities around us,” Riley said.Councilmember Joseph Morabito obje
