5 injured in I-10 crash
DESERT CENTER (CNS) - Five people were injured when a vehicle slammed into a guard rail on Interstate 10 near Desert Center this morning.The solo-vehicle crash occurred at about 9:20 a.m. on the eastbound side of the freeway west of Eagle Mountain Road, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.One motorist had to be freed from the wreckage by firefighters, fire officials said.A person was seriously injured and flown to a hospital via an air ambulance and another person with moderate injuries was taken to a hospital via a ground ambulance.Three others who were also injured in the crash refused medical care, fire officials said.
