Fatal collision reported early morning on I-215 in Murrieta

TEMECULA – On Thursday, June 5, 2025, at approximately 3:22 a.m., a 2007 Chevy Malibu was being driven by a 22-year-old male from Temecula, CA, while a 23-year-old male, from Winchester, CA, was seated in the right front seat. The Malibu was traveling southbound on I-215 just north of Clinton Keith Road in the # 1 lane at an undetermined speed. For reasons which are under investigation, the driver made an unsafe turning movement causing the Malibu to veer into the center median and crash into the concrete center divider wall. The Malibu ricocheted back towards the traffic lanes and came to rest, disabled in the # 1 lane. The driver and male passenger exited the Malibu and stood briefly in the center median.
