Former La Sierra High School assistant coach sentenced for sex with underage student

RIVERSIDE (CNS) - A 23-year-old former assistant football coach at La Sierra High School in Riverside was sentenced Tuesday to 60 days in jail and three years felony probation for having sex with an underage student. Windell J. Thompson pleaded guilty in August to unlawful intercourse with a minor and a misdemeanor count of annoying a child under 18 years old. In exchange for his admissions, the Riverside County District Attorney's Office dropped two related misdemeanor allegations. Superior Court Judge Jacqueline Jackson certified the terms of the plea agreement and imposed the sentence stipulated by the prosecution and defense.
