Man leads police on pursuit, ditches car in Menifee

MENIFEE — Two people were arrested after a driver led law enforcement on a wild pursuit through the Inland Empire, then ditched his car and ran into a home in Menifee late Friday night.The chase began around 9 p.m., when sheriff's deputies responded to a call about a burglary in progress at a home in the 21000 block of Harvill Avenue in the Mead Valley area near Perris, Riverside County sheriff's Deputy Mike Vasquez said.Deputies tried to stop an SUV believed to be connected to the burglary call but the driver refused to yield, first fleeing north on Interstate 215, then back and forth on state Route 60 in the Riverside area before finally heading back down I-215, Vasquez said.With police still in hot pursuit, the driver exited the freeway in Menifee and ended up in a residen
