Crews prepare to demolish old Scott Road bridge, requiring overnight 215 closures
MENIFEE (CNS) - A freeway overpass in Menifee is slated to be demolished next week, requiring a full closure of Interstate 215 for two nights, during which motorists will be detoured around the project site.According to the Menifee Department of Public Works, most of the original two-lane Scott Road bridge is scheduled to be taken down in segments on the nights of Friday, Nov. 15, and Saturday, Nov. 16.The overcrossing was replaced earlier this year with a six-lane span, serving as the new Scott Road/I-215 Interchange.The exact hours of the two-night freeway shutdown have not been confirmed, but according to officials, both north- and southbound traffic will be diverted off I-215 via newly expanded exit and entrance ramps at Scott.Traffic within the city will be detoured aw
