Murrieta Field of Honor to open Friday

MURRIETA (CNS) - More than 2,000 American flags bearing the names of men and women who served, or are serving, in the U.S. military will be arrayed in Murrieta's Town Square Park on Friday, marking the start of a weeklong series of events intended to honor veterans.The 11th annual "Field of Honor," provided by the Murrieta Rotary Club, will open at 9:45 a.m. and remain available for visitors to experience until Nov. 16."Everyone has the opportunity to honor a veteran, those currently serving or for past service, loved ones or personal heroes, by flying a flag in the Field of Honor," event coordinator Jann Gentry said.
